The MD drum-type washing machine is designed for efficient and gentle washing of vegetables (potatoes, carrots, beets), making them look marketable and increasing their value. The principle of operation of the washing machine is based on the fact that the raw materials that are loaded rotate in a drum immersed in a bath of water and move along it to the outlet. At the same time, the mutual friction of the tubers washes away dirt. The raw material is additionally rinsed with clean water from a shower unit (optional) and a rinse unit located on the discharge conveyor (standard). For more efficient cleaning, an active brush shaft is used, with a countercurrent movement in relation to the drum, which “finishes” and polishes the vegetables (optional). The dirt that settles on the bottom of the bath is removed through the cleaning hatch/dirt removal system. Then, bypassing the mechanical flap at the outlet (used to regulate the speed of the product through the sink - adjusted manually), the raw material enters the unloading conveyor and is transferred to the next machine.
